Hello,
I would like to request the addition of the following real-time CPU metrics to the NVIDIA App performance overlay:
- CPU Package Temperature
- CPU Package Power
- CPU Clock, preferably including average effective clock or effective clock
The current NVIDIA performance overlay already provides useful information such as frame rate, GPU temperature, GPU power, GPU clock, VRAM usage, and CPU utilization. Its compact horizontal layout is especially useful because it takes up very little screen space while gaming.
However, CPU utilization alone is not sufficient for evaluating the actual operating condition of the processor. The overlay currently does not show CPU package temperature, CPU package power, or CPU operating frequency.
These metrics are particularly important for users with overclocked CPUs, high-performance processors, custom cooling systems, or systems where CPU power consumption and temperature need to be monitored during gameplay.
Third-party applications such as HWiNFO, AIDA64, and GPU Tweak III can read these sensors, but their on-screen displays are often arranged as large vertical lists. This takes up significantly more screen space and can obstruct important parts of the game. It also requires users to run additional monitoring software alongside the NVIDIA App.
Please consider adding the following optional metrics to the existing NVIDIA performance overlay:
- CPU Package Temperature, displayed in °C
- CPU Package Power, displayed in watts
- CPU Clock or CPU Effective Clock, displayed in MHz or GHz
Ideally, these metrics should use the same compact horizontal layout as the existing GPU statistics, with individual options to enable or disable each metric.
For example:
FPS 120 | CPU 65°C 105W 4.7GHz | GPU 62°C 290W
Adding these CPU metrics would make the NVIDIA performance overlay much more useful and reduce the need to run separate third-party monitoring overlays.
Thank you for considering this feature request.
